Butterfly Booklet

Nature has always been a powerful source of healing, and at Kairali – The Ayurvedic Healing Village, we incorporate its essence into every facet of wellness. Among the various natural treasures that distinguish Kairali, butterflies stand out as symbols of renewal, metamorphosis, and peace. Their presence at the retreat depicts the therapeutic journey that each participant takes, from stress and imbalance to total well-being and internal calm.

The Butterfly Booklet is a resource for self-care, mindfulness, and Ayurvedic living during your retreat. Beyond the practices and rituals, it invites you to view and interact with the butterflies that live in the lush, green sanctuary of Kairali.

Butterflies and Their Role in Healing

Butterflies are frequently connected with personal development, transformation, and renewal, which are profoundly ingrained in Ayurveda and holistic wellness. These fragile animals flutter freely at Kairali – The Ayurvedic Healing Village, contributing to the retreat’s peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Their journey through the gardens, forests, and herbal plantations encourages attention, reflection, and appreciation for life’s natural cycles.

48 species of butterflies belonging to 5 families were observed, which would represent a majority of the butterfly families found in India. The occurrence of the largest Indian butterfly ‘Southern Birdwing Troides Minos’, was recorded during these observations as well.
