Thiruvegappura Sankaranarayana Temple

This ancient 14th-century temple, also known as Moonnumoorthy temple, was built on the banks of Thootha, a tributary of the Bharathapuzha river. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Narayana. An elegant Koothambalam, or temple theatre, is claimed to have been erected on the structure around the 15th century.

Meenvallam

The Meenvallam waterfalls, which originate at the mouth of the Thuppanadu River, are a hidden treasure in Kerala. This unique combination of mesmerizing beauty and panoramic splendor is a ten-step waterfall where the water drops from about 20 to 25 feet. The upper eight steps of the waterfall are hidden inside a lush forest, while the lower two are open to visitors.

Meenkara
