Rock Garden

The Malampuzha Rock Garden is sculpted by Padmashree Nekchand Saini, the world renowned sculptor who also conceived India’s first rock garden situated at Chandigarh. It is a true piece of creativity and art as the artefacts which we see here are all made up of waste materials such as granites, stones, broken bangles, melamine dishware, broken tiles, power insulators etc. It supports a peaceful landscaped garden where you can relax and get mesmerised by the scenic beauty of the mountain ranges which surrounds the park.

Chittur Gurumadam

Situated on the banks of the river Sokanasdini, in Thekkegramam near Arikkode, Chittur Gurumadam is a memorial to Thunchath Ramanujan Ezhuthachan who is known as the father of Malayalam language. The two great Sanskrit Epics, the Ramayana and Mahabharata were reproduced in Malayalam language by Ezhuthachan here. A shrichakra, a stylus, wooden slippers, few old manuscripts and some of the idols he worshipped have been showcased here.

Fantasy Park

First of its kind in Kerala, Fantasy Park situated near Malampuzha Dam in Palakkad is an amusement park where entire family can go and enjoy. Malampuzha (The Reservoir)

The Malampuzha reservoir is a major tourist attraction. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens, amusement parks, fish shaped aquarium and the snake park. Facilities like boating, pedal boats, rowing boats, water scooters, motor boats and fishing can be enjoyed for a very minimal charge.

The Passenger Ropeway

This is one of the first ropeways in South India which provides you with an indelible and lasting aerial tour of the Malampuzha garden, the gigantic Yakshi sculptured by Kanai Kunhiraman and the surrounding countryside.
