Panchkarma
“Panchakarma” is the renowned detox process in “Ayurveda”, rejuvenating youth through the use of therapeutic oils. This unique approach involving medicated oil massage and herbal therapies was recommended in ancient Vedic texts and has been utilized in Kerala for numerous centuries, following the significant writings of the “Charaka Samhita.” Panchakarma and Shirodhara are prominent treatments in Indian Ayurveda; given the extent of transformative detoxification they offer, it’s easy to see why.
WHAT IS PANCHAKARMA?
Panchakarma consists of five natural techniques for purging or cleansing, providing the body with a thorough detoxification while harmonizing the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
Vamanam/Vamana (Emesis Therapy or vomiting): This process is well supervised at The Ayurvedic Healing Village, by highly trained therapists at our certified Panchakarma hospital. Vamanam is induced to eliminate Kapha, which causes excess mucus. Congestion in the lungs causes repeated attacks of bronchitis, colds and coughs. Vamanam is the best treatment for Kapha-related diseases, as well as chronic skin diseases such as psoriasis.
Virechanam (Purgation: The elimination of toxic matter from the intestines by administrating therapeutic purgation or a therapeutic laxative, Virechanam is an especially effective cure in cases of jaundice and hemorrhoids.

Vasti: Ayurvedic therapy through medicines or natural decoctions, such as oils, ghee or milk through enema is known as Vasti. The decoction depends on the disease that needs to be cured. It has huge advantages and is powerful against diseases like piles, constipation and arthritis.
Nasyam: For patients suffering from issues like Sinus, and migraine that target the head area, this Ayurvedic therapy is the best. It is a natural cleansing technique where the cerebral area gets freed from any kind of pain and nasal drops are regulated in the nostrils.
Raktamokshana: Lastly, this process is done to clean the blood. As per Ayurveda impure blood is a major cause of many diseases, so this therapy allows for the purification of the blood thus getting rid of health issues like psoriasis, pigmentation, dermatitis and many more.Nutrition is essential both during and following Panchakarma. Following the purification process, the patient ought to consume Kitchari (a mixed vegetable dish) whenever hunger arises. They ought to stick to this diet for three to four days, gradually adding a variety of other foods such as ginger, pepper, salt, green gram soup, and other pulse soups, and slowly increasing the amount.
